- Piedmont NRA Instructors is an all-volunteer organization. Incorporated under the laws of Virginia as a not-for-profit corporation,
we are driven by passion not profit, and have been since 2000.
- The women and men of Piedmont's instructor cadre represent a cross-section of Northern Virginia where we teach.
Our backgrounds include environmental science, law enforcement, civil service, quality control, the military, broadcasting, electrical and Internet engineering, just to name a few.
- No gung-ho attitude. Piedmont Instructors are your friends and neighbors; our mission is to make our favorite sport safe, fun, and accessible to people from all walks of life.
- At Piedmont, "all walks of life" includes folks with disabilities. We work to accommodate students at every level of experience and ability.
- Free use of our guns and ammunition. Don't run out to buy a gun before taking a Basic Pistol class! There's a whole lesson devoted to how to select the right handgun for you.
